2012 BENETEAU Beneteau Sense 50 Compare

Built by Beneteau in 2012, the Beneteau Sense 50 is a 14.98-metre cruising sailboat that offers a well-balanced combination of interior volume, stability, and ease of handling. With a generous beam of 4.86 metres and a displacement of 15,265 kg, she was designed around the Sense concept, which prioritises living space and natural light aboard without compromising offshore capability. Her Awlgrip Vivid Red hull finish gives her a distinctive and well-maintained appearance.

The Sense 50 stands out for the quality and completeness of her systems. Propulsion is provided by a Yanmar 4JH4-TE 75 HP diesel engine, supported by a 415-litre fuel tank and a Cummins Onan 6kW generator for full electrical autonomy. Navigation is handled by a comprehensive Raymarine suite including dual E90 chartplotters, an E120 Hybrid Touch display, ST70 autopilot, AIS Class B, and an integrated radar system. Accommodation comprises two guest cabins plus a convertible saloon for up to six, with Eberspächer heating, 230V air conditioning, a Dessalator watermaker producing 50–60 litres per hour, and service batteries upgraded in 2024. The sail inventory includes a 63 m² mainsail, a 60 m² genoa, and a 185 m² asymmetric spinnaker, complemented by a self-tacking jib system for easier single-handed or shorthanded sailing.

This yacht is particularly well suited to buyers seeking a capable and comfortable bluewater cruiser for extended Mediterranean passages, family use, or long-distance voyaging. Her wide cockpit, practical deck layout, and self-sufficient systems make her an approachable choice for experienced sailors looking for reliable offshore performance, as well as for those stepping up to bluewater cruising who value ease of handling and onboard comfort.
