2012 VIKING 50 Convertible Compare

Built by Viking in 2012, Sandy is a 15.23-metre convertible motor yacht that offers a balanced combination of comfort, usability and presence on the water. Based on the Viking 50 Convertible platform, she accommodates up to three staterooms, providing a practical and well-organised layout suited to extended time aboard.

Sandy stands out for the consistent care she has received, maintained with an open-budget approach that is reflected across a broad range of upgrades. Propulsion is provided by MAN V12 1360 CRM engines with 1,345 hours, rebuilt in 2020. Navigation has been brought fully up to date with two new Garmin 8616 GPS chartplotters installed in 2025, alongside a new VHF radio fitted the same year. Night vision camera capability adds a useful safety layer underway. On deck, eight underwater lights were added in 2023, the stereo system was upgraded with an amplifier and six speakers that same year, and the hull received a striking custom black mask paint finish in 2023. A Palm Beach Towers swim ladder, a new forward stateroom air conditioning unit (2025), a custom single-piece bridge enclosure with a three-side enclosure option, and a convertible aft bridge backdrop and canopy complete the picture.

Sandy is well suited to buyers seeking a proven American sportfishing convertible that has been actively maintained and thoughtfully upgraded. The combination of reliable engines with known hours, recent electronics, and a series of comfort and style improvements makes her a straightforward choice for private family cruising or offshore use.
