2017 LAGOON CATAMARANS Lagoon 42 Confronta

Built by Lagoon Catamarans in 2017, EVOLUTION is a 12.8-metre sailing catamaran that combines thoughtful design with exceptional specification and meticulous maintenance. This well-proportioned vessel offers a practical balance of seaworthiness, comfort and ease of handling, making her an appealing choice for owners seeking both performance and livability.

ACCOMODATION AND AMENITIES: EVOLUTION features 4 cabins and 4 bathrooms with electric marine toilets, hot and cold showers in each head plus an outdoor shower. The saloon benefits from a large television and entertainment system, while the galley includes an Isotherm refrigerator, 100-litre freezer, ice maker and espresso machine. Air conditioning (48,000 BTU) cools all cabins and the galley. Generous water tankage—two 300-litre tanks—is paired with a 105-litre-per-hour watermaker, pressurised deck washer and rainwater collection system, enabling extended autonomous cruising.

POWERTRAIN AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS: The twin Yanmar 4JH57 57hp engines with saildrives have been expertly maintained (3,883 and 3,885 hours respectively). The standout electrical upgrade (2021) includes 600Ah Victron lithium batteries, 1,400 watts of solar panels on a custom arch with dual 50A MPPTs, a Victron Phoenix Smart 3000VA inverter, and an 11kVA Onan genset. This modern power architecture is monitored via Victron app, rendering the genset rarely necessary. Navigation electronics are comprehensive: B&G Zeus2 12" chartplotter, Halo20+ radar (2021), Simrad sounder and wind instruments, Raymarine displays, wireless anchor remote with chain counter, and AIS transponder.
