1997 PALMER JOHNSON 80 Sportfish M/Y Compare

Built by Palmer Johnson in 1997, Chairman is a 24.38-metre custom aluminium sportfish motor yacht that offers a well-balanced combination of performance, space and practicality on the water. Designed and constructed at the Palmer Johnson shipyard in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, she features flush decks, an enclosed flybridge, a cockpit stern and a swim platform. Her all-white two-part polyurethane hull with black boot stripe gives her a clean, classic profile.

Chairman is powered by twin Caterpillar 3412 freshwater-cooled turbocharged marine diesel engines, each rated at 1,350 hp at 2,300 RPM, coupled to ZF BW1950 marine reversing gears with a 2.03:1 ratio. Both engines have recorded 3,940 total hours, with recent overhauls showing 195.4 hours on the starboard engine and 181.5 hours on the port engine. She accommodates guests across four staterooms and benefited from a comprehensive refit in 2018, which included new paint, all-new LED lighting, smart TVs, a new 15-ton air conditioning system, new carpet and headliners, electronic Twin Disc controls, a new dive compressor, two new/remanufactured generators, and numerous additional updates.

Chairman is well suited to buyers looking for a capable and spacious sportfish motor yacht with a strong mechanical foundation and a well-documented recent refit. Her four-stateroom layout, practical deck configuration and updated systems make her a solid choice for private cruising with family or guests, as well as for owners who appreciate a vessel that is ready to use without requiring immediate major investment.
