2003 MARLOW 70E

Built by Marlow in 2003, The Garlic is a 21.33-metre motor yacht based on the renowned 70E model, widely recognised as one of the most capable open-ocean cruising vessels in its class. Her composite construction combines Dupont Kevlar, vinylester resins, core-cell foam and engineered fabrics, vacuum-bagged and built in only three major molds to deliver superior structural strength and excellent sound and thermal insulation. The distinctive flag blue Awlgrip hull finish and traditional lines give her a timeless and purposeful profile on the water.

The Garlic accommodates guests across three staterooms and four heads, with a layout suited to extended cruising. Power comes from twin Caterpillar 3406 engines producing 800 hp each, with notably low hours compared to comparable vessels on the market. Recent work carried out includes new paint above the rub rails, new non-skid deck on the bow, new bottom paint, new engine room paint, refinished crane, new engine and house batteries, all windows re-bedded and recaulked, new engine alternators, new watermaker, new propellers, and full replacement of all AC compressors and air handlers. The open flying bridge has been fitted with new Isinglass, and the yacht is also equipped with bow and stern thrusters and Naiad fin stabilisers. All services are up to date.

The Garlic is well suited to a private owner-operator or an owner with crew looking for a proven long-range cruising platform with a solid mechanical foundation. She has completed multiple passages to the Bahamas and has been in regular use, demonstrating her reliability and seakeeping ability.
