2010 AMERICAN TUG 49 Limited Comparar

Built by American Tug in 2010, CHINOOK is a 15.84 m motor yacht that combines practical cruising capability with comfortable accommodation. This well-maintained vessel is ready for extended exploration, whether along the Great Loop, to the Bahamas, or down island.

CHINOOK features two cabins and is equipped with a 575 hp Volvo D-9 engine (2,400 hours), supported by a 9 kW Northern Lights generator in sound shield (1,675 hours). The yacht benefits from ABT Trac hydraulic fin stabilizers for cruising comfort, hydraulic bow and stern thrusters with remote control, and a hydraulic Muir Cheetah windlass with Mantus M2 anchor. Navigation and connectivity are well-served by radar, StarLink satellite internet, and a Dockmate docking system installed in 2023. Deck amenities include solar panels with Victron Smart Solar controller, a water maker producing 23 gallons per hour, and a spacious extended aft deck with synthetic teak flooring. The tender package comprises a 10.5 ft AB RIB with center console, GPS and depth display, plus a 25 hp Yamaha outboard engine (both 2022). The yacht's signature fighting lady yellow hull and rare flybridge design add distinctive character, while the bridge height lowers hydraulically to 18 ft 6 in for Great Loop compliance.

CHINOOK suits owners seeking a capable, self-sufficient cruising platform with room for extended passages and comfortable living aboard. The combination of fuel efficiency, modern docking assistance, freshwater generation, and satellite connectivity makes this vessel particularly appealing to those planning extended coastal or inland waterway cruising.
