2018 VMG Olivier van Meer Design Compare

Built by VMG in 2018, Spirit of Venice is a 27.32-metre sailing yacht designed by Olivier van Meer. She represents a modern interpretation of classic yacht design, combining timeless aesthetics with contemporary construction standards and comfort. This Dutch-built vessel offers the best of both worlds: the elegance of traditional sailing heritage and the reliability of a newly constructed aluminium hull.

Spirit of Venice is designed for comfort and thoughtful cruising. Her aluminium hull is reinforced against floating debris, and she features an innovative up-running centreboard system that adjusts her draft between 2.10 metres and 4.40 metres, allowing excellent performance across varying water conditions and anchorages. The yacht accommodates three cabins, providing flexible space for a small family or cruising group. Throughout, she combines authentic classic styling with modern technology and construction practices.

This yacht suits buyers seeking a well-proportioned sailing vessel for private cruising, whether for coastal exploration or longer passages. Her draft flexibility and solid construction make her suitable for owners who value both performance and the ability to access shallow-water destinations. The combination of classic design and modern build quality appeals to discerning sailors who prefer a refined, timeless aesthetic.
