Built by Alloy Yachts NZ in 2007, Akiko is a 34.2-metre full displacement motor yacht that combines expedition-style capability with refined comfort. Originally launched as VVS1, this multi-award-winning vessel has established herself as a trusted platform for serious cruising, offering a balanced combination of rugged seaworthiness, practical usability and elegant presence on the water.
Akiko accommodates up to five cabins and staterooms, providing comfortable quarters for family cruising or small group travel. Her full displacement hull design reflects the shipyard's commitment to efficient, seaworthy engineering, while her expedition-style configuration supports extended voyages and challenging conditions. The vessel's carefully considered layout prioritizes both functionality and livability, with thoughtful deck planning suited to long-range operation.
This yacht appeals to discerning buyers seeking a capable cruising platform with proven pedigree. Her award-winning design and construction by a respected New Zealand builder make her particularly attractive to those valuing durability, craftsmanship and the ability to explore with confidence. Akiko suits private family cruising, long-range expeditions and owners who prioritize substance and capability over flashy styling.
