What influences the sale of a Leopard

Leopard Catamarans, designed by the South African shipyard Robertson & Caine, is a major player in production sailing and power catamarans. As many units have a charter fleet history, usage and maintenance history is a comparison criterion worth checking carefully on this brand.

Frequently asked questions

How do you determine the price of my Leopard?
We compare your yacht against genuinely comparable units currently on the market and recently sold when that data is available — model, year, configuration, condition and location. That analysis produces a realistic asking price, not a guess.
What commission does Bella Yacht charge?
It depends on the mandate and is always agreed with you in writing before we start — never after. Ask us directly and we will give you a clear answer for your situation.
Open or exclusive mandate?
Both exist, and we favour the exclusive. A yacht is a niche product: its value lies in cultivated scarcity, not scattered exposure. Exclusivity lets us invest our best marketing and sales effort — and reassures buyers that they are making the right choice.
Do you work with other brokers?
Yes — through YATCO and our international broker network, under standard co-brokerage terms. Any broker who brings a qualified buyer is welcome.
Can my yacht be marketed confidentially?
Yes — a confidential sale, without full public exposure, is part of how we work: direct presentation to our network of qualified buyers. We define the framework together.
What if my yacht is already listed elsewhere?
We can still discuss your situation directly. Depending on your current mandate, that may mean waiting for it to expire or exploring a co-brokerage arrangement. We are transparent about what is realistic from the first conversation.
How do you qualify buyers?
Financially qualified buyers only, viewings accompanied personally, and coordination with your captain when relevant. We do not waste your time on unqualified visits.
How long does it take to sell?
Across the market, a yacht typically sells in 6 to 12 months. Our job is to beat that average — a correctly priced, professionally marketed yacht can sell far faster. The single biggest factor: an honest valuation from day one.
