2012 SPIRIT YACHTS 60DH Confronta

Built by Spirit Yachts in 2012, Spirit of Rani is an 18.3-metre sailing yacht that embodies classic design principles combined with practical offshore capability. Designed by Sean McMillan to meet the exacting requirements of an experienced sailor, she represents a balanced combination of elegant lines, seaworthy performance, and comfortable long-term cruising accommodation.

Spirit of Rani accommodates up to 5 guests across 3 cabins with mahogany staterooms and a full-service galley. Her construction combines solid timber craftsmanship in Douglas Fir, Khaya, and Mahogany throughout. Key systems include a carbon rig with electric reefing and Navtec hydraulic controls optimized for short-handed operation, new Quantum Fusion sails (fully battened mainsail and 110% jib), new rod rigging, and a comprehensive electrical installation featuring new Mastervolt AGM service battery banks (4 x 200Ah, 400Ah @ 24v). Additional cruising infrastructure comprises a watermaker (50L/hr capacity), air conditioning, generator, and an estimated 660-nautical-mile range. The bespoke deckhouse features 11 safety-glass windows and ergonomic helm-centric sail controls.

This yacht suits buyers seeking a capable offshore cruising vessel with proven ocean-crossing credentials and the comfort to live aboard seriously. Her short-handed optimization and documented history of single-handed and Mediterranean/Caribbean cruising demonstrate genuine seaworthiness and practical usability for independent sailors and small crews.
