2015 PRESTIGE YACHTS 550 Confronta

Built by Prestige Yachts in 2015, Proteus is a 16.76-metre motor yacht that offers a balanced combination of comfort, usability and presence on the water. The Prestige 550 is a well-regarded model in its category, offering three cabins and the kind of layout that works well for extended cruising with family or friends. Proteus has been professionally maintained since new and is presented in ready-to-cruise condition, with fresh bottom paint and a comprehensive list of equipment already in place. Notable features include a Seakeeper gyroscopic stabiliser, hydraulic swim platform, joystick control, Bose audio system, underwater lights, SAT TV, Wi-Fi booster and a Passport Premiere package with extended warranties that were valid until June 2021.

The level of equipment on board makes Proteus a particularly well-specified example of this model. The Seakeeper alone is a significant asset, providing meaningful motion comfort at anchor and underway. The joystick control simplifies manoeuvring in tight marina spaces, while the hydraulic swim platform and underwater lights add to the appeal for those who enjoy time on and in the water. The Bose audio system, SAT TV and Wi-Fi booster ensure comfortable living aboard during extended stays.

Proteus suits a buyer looking for a ready-to-use, well-equipped motor yacht in the 17-metre range without the complexity of a larger vessel. The three-cabin layout and proven Prestige 550 platform make it a practical choice for private cruising with family or a small group of guests. The professional maintenance history and the inclusion of a Seakeeper make this a compelling option for buyers who prioritise reliability and comfort over cosmetic novelty.
